To help alleviate any discomfort, we apply a strong topical numbing cream before your procedure. Once we begin, you won’t feel more than a slightly rough sensation on your forehead and upper lip.
To maximize the benefits of microneedling, we recommend heading in for a series of 6 sessions, every 4-6 weeks.

Microneedling FAQ's
Your skin is numbed with a strong topical numbing agent prior to treatment, allowing for maximum comfort. The treatment itself takes about 20 minutes. You may feel a tiny bit of discomfort on the forehead and upper lip, but these areas go quick! Most patients report feeling little to nothing on the rest of the face!
Most patients do a series of 6 treatments, having one treatment every 4-6 weeks. This allows for maximum results and full face (or whatever area you’re treating) coverage.
Immediately after the treatment, most patients walk out looking quite pink/red. This is normal! Surprisingly, this resolves a great deal by the next morning. You will still be a little red, don’t get us wrong, but most patients are completely fine to ‘face the world’ the next day. You can also wear mineral makeup the following day to hide some of the redness – works a treat. For the week after treatment, you may experience very mild peeling and a rough texture to the skin. Most patients find that by day 7-10, their skin looks fantastic and glowy!
Due to the numbing agent being used, you cannot have this treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have severe rosacea, prone to keloid scarring, are immunosupressed, have active cold sores, or have any broken skin/skin infection.
You should also avoid this treatment if you have active acne/breakouts. If you are actively breaking out, you may consider another treatment, such as VI Peels or HydraFacials, prior to having microneedling.
